📦 AL MODINA – Shipping & Delivery Policy
Thank you for shopping with AL MODINA Japan. We deliver halal food and groceries throughout Japan and pack every order carefully for transport.
🚚 Standard Shipping Charges
Shipping charges depend on your delivery address, package size and total shipment weight. The applicable charge is shown at checkout before you complete your order.
Our current shipping rates are listed below. The checkout amount is the final charge for your order.
🧊 Frozen Items
We do not charge an additional frozen-handling or temperature-controlled delivery fee. Frozen products use the same standard shipping rates and free-shipping conditions shown below.
🎉 Free Shipping
Orders of ¥10,500 or more qualify for free shipping throughout Japan, except Okinawa.
Okinawa orders require payment of the applicable shipping charge regardless of the order total.
For orders below ¥10,500, the applicable shipping charge is calculated and displayed at checkout.

Delivery estimates may change because of the courier’s route, weather, traffic, peak-season demand, remote locations or special order preparation.
🕑 Order Processing & Shipping Cut-Off Time
Our daily shipping cut-off time is 11:00 AM Japan Standard Time (JST).
- Orders placed before 11:00 AM: Normally dispatched the same day, subject to stock availability, payment confirmation and any required order verification.
- Orders placed at or after 11:00 AM: Normally dispatched the following day.
- Orders requiring special preparation, cutting, portioning or packaging may take additional processing time.
📦 Delivery examples for Area 4:
- An order placed on Monday before 11:00 AM and dispatched that day is normally delivered on Tuesday.
- An order placed on Monday at or after 11:00 AM is normally dispatched on Tuesday and delivered on Wednesday.
These examples are estimates. Actual delivery timing depends on the destination, order contents and the courier’s schedule.
💴 First-Time Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
For first-time COD orders, we must confirm your order and delivery address before dispatch.
📞 Our team will call or message you. You may also contact us directly to complete confirmation.
- Please provide a complete delivery address and a reachable phone number.
- Your order will remain on hold until confirmation is completed.
- If confirmation is completed after the shipping cut-off time, dispatch may move to the following day or later, depending on preparation requirements.
✅ Prepaid orders do not require first-time COD confirmation. We may still contact you if your address or order details need clarification. Payment must be confirmed before dispatch.
🚫 Returned Parcels & Failed Deliveries
Please check that your delivery details are correct and that someone can receive your parcel or arrange redelivery within the courier’s holding period.
A ¥1,500 return-handling fee per box applies when a parcel is returned to us because:
- The customer refuses delivery.
- The delivery address is incorrect or incomplete.
- Delivery attempts are unsuccessful and redelivery is not arranged in time.
- The parcel is not collected within the courier’s holding period.
- Delivery notifications are not acted upon, resulting in the parcel being returned.
This fee applies to both prepaid and COD orders, including orders that originally qualified for free shipping.
📌 Why does this fee apply?
AL MODINA pays the courier when a parcel is dispatched. A returned parcel creates additional shipping and handling costs, even when the original order qualified for free shipping.
This section concerns parcels returned because of the customer-related circumstances listed above. Product problems such as damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied items are handled under our Return & Refund Policy.
🚚 Estimated Delivery Dates & Time Slots
The delivery date and time slot selected at checkout are delivery requests, not guaranteed appointments.
Actual dispatch and delivery times may be affected by:
- Your location and the courier’s transit schedule.
- Stock availability, payment confirmation or COD verification.
- Weather, traffic, peak-season demand or courier disruptions.
- Special preparation, cutting, portioning or packaging requirements.
🥩 Orders containing specially prepared meat, customized chicken cuts or other products requiring additional handling may take longer to dispatch.
AL MODINA may adjust dispatch arrangements when necessary to maintain product quality and safe handling. Final delivery timing depends on the courier’s operations.
